I intended to include in yesterday's post one more - my favorite - a fox! But it was really late and I was tired, and poor little Foxy didn't make it...so here he is! He was probably my most popular at the craft fair and I'm going to create a Valentine version. I again used the retired Ornament Punch for the head and the retired Blossom Petals for the ears (see my previous post for more details for getting those on the Clearance Rack while supplies last). His cheeks are half of the wing from the Bird Builder Punch. I made some with Cajun Craze, some with Cherry Cobbler for variety. Both colors work equally well. I used My Digital Studio to create & print the tag, which is on a Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine string.

Let's talk about fox faces...cartoon and even some of our stamp images of foxes put the white sections covering the face and surrounding the eyes. But if you look at real fox pictures and the costumes in the "What Does the Fox Say?" video, you will see the white is only along the mouth or cheek areas.
These Rudolf the Reindeer punch art treat toppers are yet again using the retired Ornament Punch for the head and the retired Blossom Petals for the ears, plus the long retired Snowflake Punch for the antlers. An alternative would be fanciful antlers from the branch in the Bird Builder Punch, or just free-hand cut simpler twig-style antlers. I was using up some retired cardstock scraps too -so one is made with Close to Cocoa, but the other is the current Soft Suede. The antlers are Early Espresso with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. The nose, of course, is Red Glimmer paper/cardstock.

  1. How adorable are these! What a great idea for birthday party favors and/or teacher gifts to kids.
